Issue
- Users having the "Administrator" role cannot access the App Manager through Control Panel → System →App Manager.
Environment
- DXP 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4
- Quartery Releases
Resolution
Take into consideration the following points to resolve the situation:
- Users must have the out-of-the-box 'Administrator' role defined by the key 'Administrator'. There is no option to create a custom role to grant this permission.
- The App Manager can only be accessed through the main instance. This is because the Omni Admin concept is exclusive to this instance.
- The portal-ext property
omniadmin.users
affects how OmniAdmin users are identified:
- If this property is not set or is empty: Users with the 'Administrator' role in the default instance are also considered Omni Admins.
- Otherwise, when it is set to a non-empty value: Only listed users will be considered Omni Admins in the default instance.
