Auditing Clarity's Content
The Content Dashboard provides content managers with a comprehensive overview of all content created across Liferay sites and asset libraries. Clarity wants to audit content created before implementing workflows to gauge governance efforts. This requires identifying content by particular authors and analyzing existing categorization. In these exercises, you’ll use the Content Dashboard to explore, filter, and export data about Clarity's content.
Exercise: Exploring the Content Dashboard
Clarity wants to use the Content Dashboard to audit their existing content. Before starting this task, you’ll explore the Content Dashboard UI to familiarize yourself with its features.

Open the Global Menu (
), go the Applications tab, and click Content Dashboard.
By default, this UI displays all content from all sites and asset libraries. Also, the chart uses two OOTB vocabularies (i.e., Audience and Stage) for populating its data.

Hover over a content item to view available actions: View (
), Edit (
), and Info (
).

Click Info (
) to open the content info sidebar.
Here, content data appears in three tabs: Details, Categorization, and Performance.
NOTE
Using the Performance tab requires an active connection to Analytics Cloud. -
Take some time to familiarize yourself with the Content Dashboard UI.
Now that you’ve explored the Content Dashboard application, you’ll use it to audit Clarity’s blog posts.
Exercise: Auditing Blog Posts
They want to know exactly what blog posts have been created by non-content authors before they implemented their workflow. Here you’ll configure the Content Dashboard to audit blog posts by category and then export the results.

While in the Content Dashboard application, click Configure (
) for content audit chart.
This is where you can determine which vocabularies to use for populating the chart.

Use the left arrow (
) to remove the Audience and Stage vocabularies.

Select Blog Posts and click the right arrow (
) to use it for populating the audit chart.

Click Save.

Verify the chart displays the number of content items for each category in the vocabulary.
Next, Clarity wants to filter the content list to only include these blog posts.

Click Filter, check Blogs Entry, and click Select.
This ensures only blog posts appear.

Click Export XLS.
This generates a spreadsheet of the filtered blog posts, providing detailed data for Clarity's audit.
