Issue
- Currently, new segments are imported into the Global scope and not the Site scope when the segment is created in Analytics Cloud and imported into Liferay.
- How can segments be imported into the site scope?
Resolution
- The current behavior is expected behavior. All Analytics Cloud Segments are scoped to the Global site when synced to DXP.
- Analytics Cloud Properties can contain multiple sites and DXP Segments can only be scoped to one site. So if a property contains more than one site, it is not possible to properly scope an AC segment when syncing with DXP.
- To get around this, we scope Analytics Cloud Segments to the Global site and make them available to all sites. Changing this behavior would require a good deal of discovery as this will impact many.
