Issue

  • When trying to create a Panel App Module, the portal instance becomes unresponsive after signing in.

Environment

  • DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • This issue will be fixed in LPS-186113 and is caused by the conversion of method references to field references in class extends the BasePanelApp.
  • A simple workaround is available and should fix the observed behavior in your instance.
    • The method BasePanelApp#setPortlet has been removed.
    • The method BasePanelApp#getPortlet has been removed and must be implemented by its subclasses. So the code you currently have that extends the BasePanelApp must implement the getPortlet method in order to fix the behavior.
