User Group users not syncing to Analytics Cloud when connected to a Liferay SaaS environment initially

Issue

  • After setting up Analytics Cloud with a Liferay SaaS environment, user groups do not appear to be syncing correctly.
  • Although the Liferay SaaS environment has multiple user groups, there are no known users being reflected in Analytics Cloud

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4 Update 78 and below

Resolution

  • This is a known issue due to the Analytics Connector not syncing initially with the Liferay SaaS environment and the fix for this issue has been included in Liferay DP 7.4 Update 79.
  • After the update (or hotfix) with this fix has been installed, it is required to disconnect and then reconnect Analytics Cloud. This can be done through the following steps:
    • 1. In Liferay DXP 7.4, go to Control Panel > Instance Settings > Analytics Cloud > Disconnect
      2. In Analytics Cloud, select the data source you just disconnected, click "Reconnect", copy the token
      3. Go back to DXP, paste token, connect and complete the steps (contacts and sites configurations)
