Issue
- When attempting to restore a backup to the Liferay service, the backup appears to be restored successfully, but there is no document library that appears associated with the Liferay service
- The following error appears in the log file relating to the backup failing to be restored
Cannot swap backup storage unless services with ids [backup,database,liferay] exist for project
Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.4
- Liferay PaaS
Resolution
- Based on the error, the backup restore service is failing due to misnamed services
- The default names for 3 of the services are backup, database and liferay
- These service names cannot be changed, or else certain processes, like the backup restore, may fail. The service names should be set as backup, database, and liferay
- If there is a requirement to have different portals with different versions, these should be run on independent environments. It is not supported to have different portals with different versions on the same environment.
