Issue

  • I would like to stop the out-of-the-box scheduled tasks in Liferay.

Environment

  • Liferay Portal
  • Liferay DXP

Resolution

  • Most of the scheduled tasks included in Liferay can be found by searching for .check in the list of the Liferay version's portal properties. Once the scheduled tasks have been identified, the interval at which the job is run can be set to 0 to disable the scheduled job.
    • Example: If you want to disable the CheckEntryMessageListener, you can set the following portal property to 0

      # Set the interval in minutes on how often CheckEntryMessageListener
      # will run to check for and delete trash entries that have been
      # in the Recycle Bin longer than the maximum age.

      # Env: LIFERAY_TRASH_PERIOD_ENTRY_PERIOD_CHECK_PERIOD_INTERVAL

      trash.entry.check.interval=60
