Issue

  • When upgrading from 7.2 to 7.4, it seems that there are tables that appear multiple times with the only difference being the corresponding company ID.
    e.g.,
    AccountEntry_x_COMPANY_ID
    Address_x_COMPANY_ID
    CommerceOrder_x_COMPANY_ID
    CommercePricingClass_x_COMPANY_ID
    CP_Definition_x_COMPANY_ID
    Organization_x_COMPANY_ID
    User_x_COMPANY_ID

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • The tables that are referred to are related to the Objects Framework, and they belong to the default system objects.
  • The actual users themselves are still stored in the User_ table.
  • Unfortunately, it's not recommended to drop these tables. This isn't something that the user could configure, due to the implementation of the Objects Framework, each company needs to have its tables.
