Service packs are bundles that are used when first downloading a particular version of Liferay. In addition to bug fixes and security enhancements, updates to Suites, Plugins, etc. are included.
The timing for downloading service packs is applicable when a new bundle is needed or when a new project is started in Liferay. For this reason, we do not provide specific recommended timing for updating service packs. We recommend updating the fix packs described below.
The fixpack contains bug fixes and security enhancement fixes. The shorter release interval compared to service packs ensures that the product is always up-to-date.
Regarding the timing of application, we recommend updating at the following pace, as shown inLiferay DXP Patch Application Recommendation Cycle. Development mode：Monthly updates Production mode：Semi-annual updates
