Issue

  • Migrating from Liferay 7.3 to 7.4, I noticed that the layout.comments.enabled property no longer works in 7.4.
  • This is the error I'm getting:
ERROR [main][VerifyProperties:172] Portal property "layout.comments.enabled" is obsolete

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • layout.comments.enabled has been deprecated and is no longer supported. Please see 7.4 Breaking Changes for more information.
  •  Page comments are now enabled out-of-the-box and configured in Liferay portal's UI.
