Issue

  • When trying to perform an upgrade, the following error appears in logs:
ERROR [main][DBUpgrader:70] Missing default Store

Environment

  • Quarterly Release: 2023.Q3, 2023.Q4, 2024.Q1, 2024.Q2
  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • Check that the path specified in your file com.liferay.portal.store.file.system.configuration.AdvancedFileSystemStoreConfiguration.config for the attribute rootDir is correct, that the directory exists and it has the proper permissions.
  • For Windows, also check that the backslashes used to separate directories along the path are escaped with another backslash.
    • For example, rootDir="F:\data" will be read as just F:data
    • Instead, escape the backslash to rootDir="F:\\data", so it can be read as F:\data
