Issue

  • We've noticed that the viewcounterentry table is full of records with the classname com.liferay.redirect.model.RedirectNotFoundEntry. The redirectnotfoundentry table is empty.
  • It might be related to the 404 Tracking mechanism that was introduced in the past then it was disabled by default.
  • Can we safely remove all the records with a Groovy script?

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.3+

Resolution

  • 404 tracking was made optional in LPS-144021, but before that, it was enabled by default.
  • If the "Redirection Configuration" is disabled in your environment, you can safely remove the records using a Groovy script.
