Resolution
- If a user encounters an issue that can be resolved by customizing Liferay's core classes, the best approach is to try replicating that issue on a clean instance of Liferay DXP with no customization and then reporting the issue to Liferay via a Support ticket.
- Customizing the Liferay core by the user is not recommended in any situation because it limits support from the Liferay product for future issues or challenges. However, if necessary, Liferay engineers would do the same to resolve the issue and provide a robust fix to the customer.
