Note: please note that Liferay has renamed its Liferay Experience Could offerings to Liferay SaaS (formerly LXC) and Liferay PaaS (formerly LXC-SM).

Issue

  • On Liferay SaaS v3 stack, ping command was actually available at Liferay Service's Shell console.
    However, on v4 stack, the command won't get executed.
     

Environment

  • Liferay SaaS v4 stack

Resolution

  • The ping command is no longer available to be used for our customers on v4 stack, on purpose. 
    The command is not considered to be essential having it available, therefore its usage has been restricted as well.
