Issue
- By default, Liferay DXP's Trash Entry Max Age is 30 Days. In other words, the platform will clear the Recycle Bin after 30 days.
- The portal setting is
trash.entries.max.age=43200.
- The question: what happens if this is increased to 100 days?
Environment
Resolution
- It is possible to increase the
trash.entries.max.age to 100 days.
- The process to delete trash entries older than the max age may take longer if there are significantly more trash entries to delete, but this should not have an impact on Liferay performance in general.
- Overall, there is no real harm if the files are not deleted in time.
