Issue
- The user needs to add the price(default SKU) in the request body of the product while posting the product via headless API.
Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.4
- Commerce 4.0
Resolution
- The 'default SKU' field in the headless API is intended to be used for the generic creation of a default SKU when the user doesn't have a specific SKU we wish to create.

Once the default SKU is created, the user can either alter the SKU in the UI or headless API (we can access the ERC or ID easily).
