Issue

  • The Liferay uses the log4j-core Library which was reported to have a vulnerability.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.1
  • Liferay DXP 7.2 until fix-pack 16
  • Liferay DXP 7.3 until SP3

Resolution

  • Yes, the Liferay is vulnerable to this CVE in the versions mentioned above, the resolution is update the Liferay 
    • On Liferay 7.2 update to Fix pack 17 or higher
    • On Liferay 7.3 update to Update 4 or higher
  • Or create a hotfix with the following: LPS-144881
