Issue
- Due to an issue with the bundled version of Eclipse, Dev Studio 3.9.0 on macOS Big Sur fails to start up, showing an error message "Alert: Failed to create the Java Virtual Machine."
Resolution
- A future Dev Studio release will have the updated Eclipse version to resolve this, but in the interim, the following workaround can be implemented:
- To install or update to version 3.9.3 of Liferay Dev Studio follow instructions in Installing Liferay Developer Studio 3.9.x.
