Can't to edit files in Google Drive or Office 365 in non-production publications

Issue

  • When I try to edit a document through Google Drive or Office 365 in a non-production publication, I see a notification in the UI that says "Error: This action can only be performed in production mode."
  • Additionally, I'm unable to cancel document checkouts from non-production publications.
  • I see the following error in the logs  
    com.liferay.portal.kernel.change.tracking.CTTransactionException: CT transaction validation failure.
    Nested operation using com.liferay.document.library.opener.service.impl.DLOpenerFileEntryReferenceLocalServiceImpl can only be performed in production mode.
