Issue
- After updating Liferay, Blueprints configuration now displays External Reference Codes (ERC) next to the categories, sites and other elements.
Resolution
- This change was implemented in LPD-10751 - ERC Adoption in Blueprints and Elements - Part 3: Use Entity ERCs in Queries
- The goal of this change was the following:
Use External Reference Code (ERC) in the OOTB elements instead of IDs to reference categories, sites etc. to improve the portability of blueprint and elements across different environments allowing to deploy Liferay configurations/customization faster, easier.
- This change was part of a bigger initiative (LPD-6439) which aimed to improve the portability of search features.
