2023 Deprecations and Breaking Changes

Liferay quarterly releases introduce new features and enhancements while phasing out older or less-used functionality. Some features move to Maintenance Mode, where they receive no further updates but remain supported. Others are deprecated and scheduled for removal in a future release.

This section only applies to 2023.Q4, because 2023.Q3 changes are included in the 7.4 changes. Understanding these changes helps you plan upgrades and adapt to new solutions.
