Provisioning Liferay in Kubernetes

Cloud environments require a layer of orchestration to manage containers, and that is usually Kubernetes. If you’re already heavily invested in the cloud, you can add Liferay to that investment by deploying it into your cloud environment. The service you choose to host Liferay DXP determines the specific requirements.

Deploying Liferay DXP in Kubernetes environments requires Helm. Liferay provides official Helm charts that simplify the process of deploying Liferay DXP in these environments, although you must configure it (and other components of the surrounding infrastructure, such as storage services) yourself from there.

The official Helm charts are pre-configured to install Liferay DXP in specific cloud environments. Use the appropriate chart for your chosen service (for example, AWS).
