Summary

The reason this occurs is because the Notifications Portlet is attempting to add the table Notifications_UserNotificationEvent, which has too many characters for the Oracle database.

Common Causes

This can also happen when first starting Liferay 6.2 EE SP12 or Liferay 6.2 EE SP 13 when using an Oracle Database.

Recommended Solution

The resolution is to open a ticket with Liferay Support to request an updated Notifications Portlet that overcomes the issue of LPS-53122.

Additional Information

Issue reported in LPS-53122.
