Issue

  1. User cannot import .LAR files due to missing references:mceclip0.png

Environment

  • Liferay Portal 6.2
  • Liferay DXP 7.0
  • Liferay DXP 7.1
  • Liferay DXP 7.2
  • Liferay DXP 7.3

Resolution

  • In order to import a .LAR file that uses metadata from multiple sites, the list of data displayed after the initial loading of the original .LAR has to be imported first.
  • Navigate in your system to the site that contains the required data: "Site-Name" --> Publication --> Export, if the file is available then import it to the new system and please retest the import for the original .LAR file.
  • In case the above indications cannot bring you further, please contact the Customer Support team.

Additional Information

  • The referenced data can be in another site or in the Global scope.
  • The original metadata and the referenced data are depending on each other.
  • Within the import process using the exported .LAR the actual content is regenerated in the new site.
