Issue
- p_auth token is not included in the resourceURL.
Environment
- Liferay DXP
- Liferay 6.2 EE
Resolution
- ResourceURLs (resource serving phase) was introduced in Portlet 2.0 to be able to serve resources (images, etc...) without having to reload the whole page. Therefore serveResource method called for resourceURLs should focus on nothing else than serving resources. Actions that may trigger changes on the server side should be implemented in processAction, which is called in case of actionURLs. Based on this, if the serveResource method is designed to focus on its task defined by the specification, then CSRF attacks cannot be triggered with resourceURLs and implementing p_auth token is unnecessary.
