Issue

  • Are there any characters that cannot be set in a friendly URL for web content?
  • Is there a limit on string length?

Environment

  • DXP 7.1+

solution

  • URI reserved characters (%,! and $, etc.) cannot be used.
    Japanese can be used as is.

    Basically,
    • Lowercase alphabet: a-z
    • Numbers: 0-9
    • Hyphen:-
    • Underline: _
    • Japanese (including Kanji)
    is available.
  • The actual value is stored in "FreendlyURLEntryLocalization.urlTitle".
    It is defined in VARCHAR[255]and can be set to 255 characters.
