Issue

  1. Log in as Admin

  2. Add a Blogs portlet on Liferay home page

  3. Add an entry

  4. Navigate to Control Panel > Sites

  5. Create a new Site (eg: Liferay 2)

  6. Create a new page on the Site

  7. Add Blogs portlet and Blogs Aggregator

  8. Add a Blog entry in the Blogs portlet

  9. Aggregator will show both entries (the one from Liferay site and the other from Liferay 2)

  10. Open the portlet's configuration > Scope

Expected Result: Scope can be changed between Liferay and Liferay 2 or show both.

Actual Results: Scope is already set to Liferay 2, but the portlet still shows the entries from both sites. Changing the scope to anything else has no effect either.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • When you open the Configuration menu for the Blogs Aggregator portlet, on the Setup tab you will have to change the Selection Method from "Users" to "Scope".

Additional Information
