The Job Scheduler Portlet is not accessible through the Control Panel

Issue

  • A new Role has been created and enabled the Job Scheduler portlet to the new Role, but unable to access the Job Scheduler portlet with the new user.
  • Steps to reproduce:
    1. Navigate to Control Panel-> Role and click on the '+' icon and create a new role, with the name ‘New Role', save it.
    2. In the 'New Role' role, navigate to 'Define Permissions-> Control Panel-> Configuration-> Job Scheduler', check all the boxes, and save it.
    3. Follow step 2 till 'Configuration' and check all the boxes for the 'Language Override' portlet and save it.
    4. Navigate to the Control Panel-> Users and Organizations, create a new user, assign the 'New Role' role, and save it.
    5. Now, login with the new user, and open the Control Panel, only the 'Language Override’ portlet is visible.
    Expected Behavior: Job Scheduler and Language Override portlets have to be visible and accessible.
    Observed Behavior: The Job Scheduler portlet is not visible, only the Language Override portlet is visible and accessible.

  • Liferay DXP [all versions]
