Resolution
- Since WCAG 2.2, success criterion 4.1.1 Parsing is considered obsolete, as indicated in 4.1.1 Parsing (Obsolete and removed). A note is included in WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.0 from a conformance perspective:
This Success Criterion should be considered as always satisfied for any content using HTML or XML.
- Regarding the
validator.w3.org
tool, this validator focuses on the markup language review (mainly SC 4.1.1), so it is convenient to use other tools, such as axe Dev-Tools, to perform these automatic accessibility reviews.
