Issue

  • How to increase the Google Cloud CDN cache timing max-age= 3600(1 hr) to 1 day.

Environment

  • Liferay PaaS

Resolution

  • The default CDN caching involves the caching timing limited to 1hr(CLIENT_TTL and DEFAULT_TTL)
  • The Google Cloud platform uses CLIENT_TTL to control CDN behavior. As the load balancer is managed by Google Cloud, the CDN service cannot be customized.
  • Therefore, there is currently no OOTB feature available that modifies the duration of the CDN Cache-Control configuration.
  • Although internal tickets have been opened to enhance this CDN configuration capability.
