Issue

  • Users are sometimes redirected to the home page on login rather than their page of entry.
  • The environment is clustered with SAML authentication, and the property auth.forward.by.last.path is set to true.

Resolution

  • This issue is resolved by LPD-39115
  • Please open a help center ticket to request a hotfix containing LPD-39115.

Additional Information

  • This issue occurs because the relayState value is lost when users initiate Single Sign On from one Service Provider node, but are redirected from the Identity Provider to the other Service Provider node.
  • The fix allows the relayState to be cached by all of the nodes in a cluster so that it isn't lost when users switch nodes during sign on.
