Site Page Templates - Introduction
Templates provide the foundational framework for sites in Liferay. With the ability to create predefined, reusable structures for pages, you save time designing your solutions and ensure that they have a consistent visual identity. Templates centralize the management of sites even as they scale rapidly, and they enhance collaboration among designers, administrators, and content authors.
In the previous module, you learned about the modular components you can use to build out the content of a page. As powerful as fragments are on their own, using them with templates unlocks the true efficiency of Liferay’s design system. In this module, you’ll learn to use templates to design a site for a cohesive digital experience.
By the end of this module, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to
- Establish common structural elements for multiple pages of a site.
- Improve governance across your site by configuring template restrictions.
- Create reusable blueprints to accelerate the implementation of new pages.
