Document Checkin and Cancel Checkout fails when using Office 365

Issue

  • When I try to check a document in or cancel checkout, it always fails on the first attempt.
  • I see these errors in the logs 
    com.liferay.portal.kernel.log.LogSanitizerException: com.microsoft.graph.http.GraphServiceException:
    Error code: notAllowed_Error message: The resource you are attempting to access is locked__DELETE
  • I am able to check the document in or cancel checkout during subsequent attempts.
