The "Menu Display" text appears in the Navigation Menu widget

Issue

After a failed login attempt, the navigation menu's display text appears above the menu itself.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a site.
  2. Create a login page and deploy the sign-in widget.
  3. Create a navigation menu.
  4. Create a master page template and deploy the navigation menu on the master page template.
  5. Edit the login page and apply the master page template.
  6. Open the login page and enter an incorrect password.

Expected Outcome:

  • The menu display should not appear in the navigation menu widget.

Observed Outcome:

  • The menu display appeared in the navigation menu widget

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4
  • Quarterly Release 2023.Q4.0

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known concern that has been addressed by LPD-48216.

  • Fixed in 2025.Q2.0
