Configuring Product Visibility Using Channels

By default, Products are visible across all channels, but visibility can be limited to specific channels.

For the purpose of this example, we will consider a multi-brand scenario where the same products are shared across multiple brands. Here, each site has a different brand experience.

Multiple products in the same catalog can be filtered to be sold on multiple channels.

Prerequisites

  1. One or more sites have been created.
  2. Each site has an associated channel.
  3. Products have been added to a catalog.

Configuring Product Filter Channels

  1. Click Global ApplicationsCommerce & Products.

  2. Click on a product.

  3. Click on the Visibility tab.

  4. Click the Add button.

  5. Click on the desired channel (for example, Test Channel One).

  6. Click Add.

The channel is now associated with the product.

Commerce 2.1 and Below

To configure a product to be available in a specific channel, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Control PanelCommerceProducts.

  2. Click on a product.

  3. Click on the Visibility tab.

  5. Click on the desired channel (for example, Test Channel One).

  6. Click Add.

The channel is now associated with the product.

Commerce 2.0 and Below

To configure a product to be available in a specific channel, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Control PanelCommerceProducts.

  2. Click a product (Torque Converters in this example).

  3. Click the Configuration sub-tab.

  4. Click the Channels sidebar option.

  5. Switch the Enable filter channels toggle to Yes.

  6. Check the boxes for each Channel (in this case, the NA Minium Store) where the product should be visible.

  7. Click Save.

The product will be visible only in the selected Channels.
